Jim Dixon is a seasoned transport professional with over 30 years of experience. After beginning his career in the automotive industry, he transitioned to Lothian Buses in 1989, where he spent 28 years in various roles, including Driver, Safety Practitioner, Welfare Committee Member, and Employee Director.
A dedicated volunteer, Jim served with St. Andrew’s First Aid as Rank Commandant, Trainer Assessor, and Duty Officer at major events like Scotland International Rugby and the Edinburgh Military Tattoo.
Since 2019, he has worked as a self-employed coach driver and chauffeur, showcasing Scotland to tourists and driving dignitaries, MSPs, judges, and VIPs. A career highlight was being part of the U.S. delegation’s transport team during the 2022 Climate Conference in Glasgow, assisting President Biden’s medical team and security personnel.
