Dr Mei-Ling Cheng

CONSULTANT OPHTHALMIC SURGEON

Dr Mei-Ling Cheng is a Consultant Ophthalmic and Glaucoma Surgeon based in Edinburgh. She has advanced specialist training in cataract surgery, glaucoma surgery especially minimally invasive glaucoma surgeries (MIGs). MIGs is similar to keyhole surgery – safer, quick recovery, minimal tissue trauma compared to conventional methods. One of only a few glaucoma ophthalmic surgeons in Scotland proficient in performing a wide range of different MIGs.

With a career spanning over two decades, Mr. Gupta has performed more than 21,000 cataract surgeries and 2,000 vitrectomies, demonstrating his surgical expertise and commitment to improving patients' vision.
